"Cernunnos ist eine keltische Gottheit. Sein Name wird als „der Gehörnte“ gedeutet und er wird aus den bildlichen Darstellungen zumeist als Gott der Natur, der Tiere oder der Fruchtbarkeit interpretiert." (Quelle: Wikipedia)

Auf der Vorderseite ist der "Gehörnte" das zentrale Element dieser Coin. Über ihm stehen die gälischen Worte "Adh Mor Ort", was so viel bedeutet wie "Das Glück sei mit Dir". Hinter ihm ist der keltische Friedensknoten zu erkennen. Unterhalb des Kopfes ist eine Weinrebe in voller Reife abgebildet, welche Fruchtbarkeit und Wachstum symbolisieren soll.

Die Rückseite wird von der gehörnten Schlange umschlungen, ein Symbol der Zeit, die sich ewig weiterdreht. Unten wird sie von der Hufe des Cernunnos niedergetreten. Im Fussabdruck ist das Wort "Litha" geschrieben, was "Sommer" heisst, während die Schlange "Yule"/"Winter" verschlingt. Ausserdem ist der Mond zu erkennen, der sich stetig durch seine Phasen bewegt.

Geocaching the Top 40 is a geocoin series that was born in the Groundspeak forums near the end of 2006 and features 40 different geocoins, each one representing a different geocacher or geocaching team (and in some cases two cachers or teams). Originally, the idea was 5 cachers, then 6... 20, etc. I'm sorry I missed out on the post! I believe that between 50-100 of each geocoin was minted. (Which means it could be difficult to collect the entire set.)
