Anfang 2014 fragte der Ursprungsdesigner dieser Geocoin (gelistet unter "Dala Horse Geocoin") im blauen Forum, ob jemand Interesse an der Weiterverwendung der Designlizenzen seiner früheren Arbeiten hat. Es kam eine geschäfliche Verbindung zum niederländischen Geocachingshop.nl zu stande. Dieser Shop hat das ursprüngliche Design zum Geocoinfest 2014 in Ulm für 5 weitere Editionen verwendet. Die Ursprungseditionen sind jedoch neben der Farbe auch gut durch ein anderes Icon und einem anderen Prefix zu unterscheiden.

Diese Geocoin wurde von Sepp&Berta hergestellt. Dazu ist auf www.mygeocoin.de folgender Text zu finden:

Idea & Design: von "normalesbild" and "maltablau"

Die lippische Rose ist das Wappen des Kreises Lippe in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
Sie ist ebenfalls im Wappen von NRW zu sehen. Auf der Rueckseite ist das Hermannsdenkmal im Teutoburger Wald abgebildet, welches den siegreichen Ausgang der Varusschlacht im Jahre 9 n.Chr. symbolisiert.

Ein altes lippisches Volkslied stand Pate fuer die Gravur. 16 Rosen stehen fuer 16 Gemeinden und aus einer spontanen Idee fuer eine Coin wurde schnell ein konkreter Plan und schliesslich diese Coin.

Die 2. Auflage hat eine Farbfüllung auf der Rückseite und unterscheidet sich ausserdem durch das Prefix SB (statt wie bisher PC) im Code.

Pi Day 2015 Geocoin

Rechtzeitig zum Pi Day 2015 kam eine Idee auf, eine ganz spezielle Geocoin Version ins Leben zu rufen. Die Idee hatte Avroair (Mark) und kontaktierte einen kleinen Kreis, was wir von der Idee halten würden. Wir waren natürlich begeistert und so entwickelte sich eine schöne Diskussion wie diese Coin aussehen könnte. Irgendwie war von Anfang klar, dass es keine "normale" Geocoin werden sollte und ziemlich schnell kristallisierte sie der Wunsch nach einer 2-teiligen Kuchen-(Pie)Coin heraus. Nachdem dann die Idee in Artwork umgesetzt war, wurden die Legierungen und Farbgestaltungen festgelegt. Zu den 8 Private-Event Editionen gesellten sich dann noch 2 Shopversionen von Cache Advance und eine von Groundspeak.
Ich muss sagen, wo ich die Coins nun in Händen halte, das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen und wir sind froh diese umgesetzt zu haben.

Pi Day 2015 Geocoin

Right on time before Pi Day 2015 the idea was born for a special Geocoin version. Avroair (Mark) came up with the idea and asked a few people what they thought about his idea. We were crazy about his idea right away and a little discussion about the look of the coin started. From the beginning it was fairly clear that the coin should be something special and somehow it developed to be a 2-piece coin shaped as a Pie. After the idea ahd been transfered into the artwork we choose plating and colour. To the 8 private event editions came the 2 shop editions from Cache Advance plus one edition for Groundspeak.
I must say, when I finally could get a hand on the coins, the result is amazing and I think I can speak for all of us.

== Beschreibung ==
Die Mystic Pegasus Geocoin besteht aus einem Metallring, durch welchen ein geflügeltes Pferd in 3D-Optik zu springen scheint. Da Pegasus der grieschichen Mythologie enstammt, ist die Coin auch in griechischem Stil gestaltet. Den äußeren Ring ziert ein Mäandermuster, welches in seiner ursrünglichen Bedeutung für die Erlangung der Ewigkeit steht. Auch der Schriftzug "PEGASUS" ist in griechischem Stil gehalten.
