" Vor einigen Monaten zeigte mir ein Freund Fotos, als er von seinem Tauchurlaub in Indonesien zurück kam. Auch wenn viele von ihnen sehr schön waren, zog mich die Schönheit eines Fotos sofort ganz besonders an: es war das Bild eines wunderschönen rot-weißen Seesterns "Fromia Monilis", überall bekannt als "Perl Seestern". 
Ich hatte bisher tote Seesterne in der Hand gehalten und auch Fotos von anderen Seesternen gesehen, die alle eine grau-weiße Farbe zu haben schienen. So haben sie mich nie interessiert, auch wenn sie ganz interessant waren. Aber dieser eine, warum auch immer, war ganz anders.
For einigen Monaten überlegt ich, meine erste Geocoin herauszugeben. Ich war jedoch nicht in der Lage, mich für ein Motiv zu entschieden. Nichts sprach mich wirklich an. Aber als ich das Foto dieses Seesterns sah, wusste ich, dass ich daraus die perfekte Geocoin machen würden. So begann ich einige Tage später mit dem Design. 
Etwa einen Monat lang kam ich von der Arbeit nach hause und fügte Stück für Stück des Designs zusammen, bis ich mit allem zufrieden war. Einige Freunde ermutigten mich dabei, durchzuhalten. Und letztendlich war das Design der Fromia Hauk Geocoin vollendet. Nun musste ich nur noch über die Farben der unterschiedlichen Editionen entscheiden. 
Da die ursprünglichen Inspiration für die Coin ein wunderschöner rot-weißer Seestern war, der in mir den Eindruck hinterließ mit kleinen Juwelen bedeckt zu sein, wusste ich, dass die reguläre Edition rot mit weißen Steinen sein würde. Und so war die rot-weiße RE "Indian Spice" geboren.
Meine persönliche Lieblingsfarbe ist schwarz, so war auch klar, dass ich die schwarze Version als meine AE wählen würde: "Deepest, Darkest Ocean" AE trägt die Farbe schwarz und hat schwarze Steine. Bei den anderen Editionen inspirierten mich auch meine Freunde. 
Aber ich wollte auch eine Edition schaffen, um der Geocaching Community, die mir so viel gegeben hat, etwas zurück zu geben.Und so designte ich auch eine Fundraise Editon "Sunken Treasure", die gespendet wird für Events und Organisationen wie das Geocoinfest und die Gemeinschaft der St. Louis Area Geocachers" (meine lokale Geocacher Gruppe). Diese Fundraiser Seesterne sollten in der Lage sein, ein bisschen Geld für einen guten Zweck zu erbringen.

"A friend of mine was sharing some pictures with me when he returned from a scuba diving vacation in Indonesia a few months ago. Although many of them were rather pretty, the beauty of one of them immediatelycaught my eye in a very special way. It was a picture of the beautiful red and white starfish, fromia monilis, otherwise known as the necklace starfish.

I had held dead starfish and seen pictures of other starfish that always seemed to be a bland grayish-white color. So although they were interesting, they never really caught my eye. This one, however, was different.

For several months, I had been considering creating my first geocoin, but hadn't been able to decide on the subject matter. Nothing had really inspired me. But as soon as I saw the picture of this starfish, I knew right away that it would make the perfect geocoin. So a couple of days later, I began designing it.

For about a month I would come home from work and add to the design and tweak the parts I had already done until I was happy with everything. When I got stuck on some parts of the design, a couple of friends kept encouraging me until I got through it. And finally, the design of the Fromia Hauk geocoin was done. The only thing left was to decide on the colors for the different editions.

Since the original inspiration for the coin was a beautiful red and white starfish that looked almost like it was jewel-encrusted, I knew that the regular edition would be red and white with gems as well. And so the red and white "Indian Spice" regular edition was born.

My own favorite color is black, so it only seemed natural to do an all black version for my artist edition. So the "Deepest, Darkest Oceans" artist edition includes black translucent and black pearl enamel with black gems with black nickel plating.

The purple and golden yellow "Royal Atlantic" limited edition; the blue and antique silver "Ice-Capped Waved" limited edition; and the white and glow "Pale Glow of Death" extra-limited editions were inspired by the color choices of some of my friends.

But I also wanted to create one edition to give back to the geocaching community that has given me so much. So the antique copper and green "Sunken Treasure" fundraiser edition was created to be donated to events and organizations like Geocoinfest and the St. Louis Area Geocachers Association (the local geocaching group where I live). They in turn are able to auction or raffle them off to raise a little money for their cause.

The factory originally messed up production of the "Pale Glow of Death" edition by creating them with a bright green enamel where the glow enamel should be. So each "Pale Glow of Death" XLE coin comes with an error coin with the same tracking number. (photo below)

Da ich nicht nur begeisterte Geocacherin und Coinsammerlin bin, die Natur und besonders die Meere liebe, sondern auch gerne sticke und nähe, begegnete ich letztes Jahr den wunderschönen Bildern und Stickdateien der Künsterlin Silke Wolfrum Zwergenschön, die ihre Gemälde in Stickdateien umsetzt. Eines meiner Lieblingsmotive, ihr Einhorn, hat es mir besonders angetan. Ich erhielt ihre freundliche Erlaubnis, dieses Einhorn in eine Geocoin zu verwandeln. Das von mir gewählte Motto für die Rückseite "Fuck the world I'm going to Wonderland" wurde von Groundspeak leider abgelehnt, da es nicht familienfreundlich ist. So wählte ich den Spruch "Do more of what makes you sparkle" aus: als Erinnerung an uns alle, die schönen Seiten des Lebens zu sehen und uns mehr daran zu erfreuen.
Selbstverständlich musste die Sparkling Unicorn als trackbarer Anhänger, also mit einer Öse versehen, produziert werden. Zu jeder Coin gibt es einen passenden Pin.
Drei Freunde durften auch eigene Editionen gestalten.

One of my favorite motifs, her unicorn, has made a special impression on me. I got Silke's friendly permission to turn this unicorn into a geocoin. The motto for the back "Fuck the world I'm going to Wonderland" was rejected by Groundspeak because it is not family-friendly. So I looked for the saying "Do more of what makes you sparkle": as a reminder to us all, to see the beautiful sides of life and to enjoy them more.

Da ich nicht nur begeisterte Geocacherin und Coinsammerlin bin, die Natur und besonders die Meere liebe, sondern auch gerne sticke und nähe, begegnete ich letztes Jahr den wunderschönen Bildern und Stickdateien der Künsterlin Silke Wolfrum Zwergenschön, die ihre Gemälde in Stickdateien umsetzt. Eines meiner Lieblingsmotive, ihr Einhorn, hat es mir besonders angetan. Ich erhielt ihre freundliche Erlaubnis, dieses Einhorn in eine Geocoin zu verwandeln. Das von mir gewählte Motto für die Rückseite "Fuck the world I'm going to Wonderland" wurde von Groundspeak leider abgelehnt, da es nicht familienfreundlich ist. So wählte ich den Spruch "Do more of what makes you sparkle" aus: als Erinnerung an uns alle, die schönen Seiten des Lebens zu sehen und uns mehr daran zu erfreuen.
Selbstverständlich musste die Sparkling Unicorn als trackbarer Anhänger, also mit einer Öse versehen, produziert werden. Zu jeder Coin gibt es einen passenden Pin.
Drei Freunde durften auch eigene Editionen gestalten.

Because I am not only enthusiastic geocacher and coincollector who loves nature and especially the seas, but also like embroideries and sewing, I met last year the beautiful pictures and embroidery files of the artist's house Silke Wolfrum Zwergenschön, who translates her paintings into embroidery files. One of my favorite motifs, her unicorn, has made a special impression on me. I got Silke's friendly permission to turn this unicorn into a geocoin. The motto for the back "Fuck the world I'm going to Wonderland" was rejected by Groundspeak because it is not family-friendly. So I looked for the saying "Do more of what makes you sparkle": as a reminder to us all, to see the beautiful sides of life and to enjoy them more.

Tatanka Pejula bedeutet: "Büffel Medizin" in der Sprache der Lakota (Sioux). Der Büffel ist für die meisten amerikanischen Indianerstämme ein heiliges Tier, der Weiße Büffel ganz besonders. Die Rückseite der Geocoin drückt aus: "le mita cola", was bedeutet: "mein Freund".
Tsunrisebey designte diese nicht trackbare Coin aus verschiedenen Gründen und wählte dafür spezielle, jeweils bedeutungsvolle Farben.
Diese Coin ist für "Freunde" gedacht: Freunde in der Familie, in der Bekanntschaft, in der Comunity, die Liste ist endlos.

So, keeping the above in mind, here is what this geocoin is about. I wanted to make a geocoin that meant something on a number of levels. I think many of us in the geocaching community and in our everyday lives have made some good friends in our lifetimes. Friends can be family members, spouses, people we've only known via internet forums, the list is endless. Our friends are always there for us through good times and bad, they are sounding boards, a shoulder to lean on, a friendly smile, or a needed hug or handshake. Our friends are sacred because most of us meet many people on our journey through life, people come and go but our friends are always there for us when it matters most. Too often in life we never really tell our friends and family how we feel, we just assume they know. Not everyone is good with words or expressing themselves. Diese ist zunächst als MysteryPin unter die Community gebracht worden.

Das Ergebnis und die Nachfrage hat den Owner so sehr begeistert, das er sich enschlossen hat diese ebenso als Geocoin herauszubringen. Im Januar 2017 war es dann soweit und die Geocoin erschien in 7 unterschiedlichen Versionen. 3 dieser Versionen sind Personal-Editionen.

Als die Nachfrage nach [http://wiki.geopins.de/index.php?title=Hauptseite GeoPins] stieg hat sich der Owner in seinem Sommerurlaub 2016 dazu entschlossen die Cheshire Cat auch als [http://wiki.geopins.de/index.php?title=Cheshire_Cat_GeoPin GeoPin] produzieren zu lassen. Diese ist zunächst als MysteryPin unter die Community gebracht worden.

Das Ergebnis und die Nachfrage hat den Owner so sehr begeistert, das er sich enschlossen hat diese ebenso als Geocoin herauszubringen. Im Januar 2017 war es dann soweit und die Geocoin erschien in 7 unterschiedlichen Versionen. 3 dieser Versionen sind Personal-Editionen.

Im Anschluss an die Batch 1, gab es einen Wettbewerb, wo jeder ein Design einreichen konnte. Aus den Gewinner-Entwürfe ging die Batch 2 hervor, mit drei weitere Versionen.

With the rising demand for [http://wiki.geopins.de/index.php?title=Hauptseite GeoPins] the owner decided in the summer vacation of 2016 to make an own Cheshire Cat as [http://wiki.geopins.de/index.php?title=Cheshire_Cat_GeoPin Cheshire Cat GeoPin]. 
Initially it was distributed as mystery pin in the community.

Excited by the result and the rising demand the owner decided to go for a geocoin. Finally in January 2017 the coin was minted with 7 editions, three of it as personal editions.

A color contest started after batch 1 and every was welcome to make it's own design. The winner designs resulted in batch two with three additional editions.

Peace Turtle Geocoin

"Nach meiner Idee für die Leopardendrücker Geocoin war klar, dass ich unbedingt eine „Personal Coin“ haben wollte.

Als „Turtle“ Liebhaberin wusste ich auch, welche Form diese Coin haben sollte. Ist doch die Schildkröte in ihrer Geduld, Beharrlichkeit und ihrer Fähigkeit sich in sich zurück zuziehen, ein wahres Vorbild. Nicht umsonst ist sie das älteste Symbol der Mutter Erde. Bei der Flut der vielen Schildkrötencoins, sollte das kein leichtes Unterfangen werden, denn viele mehr oder minder gelungene Turtlecoins gab es ja bereits. Als Taucherin und Meersliebhaberin war klar, dass ich mich für eine Meeresschildkröte entscheiden würde.

Meine Coin sollte auch eine Botschaft tragen und nicht nur eine „schöne Coin“ sein.
Das Zitat von Ghandi „There is no way to peace. Peace ist the way.“ hat mich besonders bewegt, denn das Thema „Frieden“ begleitet mich in vielen Bereichen: in meinem Beruf, in meinem Engagement für UNICEF, denn hier ist besonders gut zu sehen, dass es mehr gesunde und glückliche Kinder gäbe, wenn es mehr Frieden auf unserer Erde gäbe. Auch in den Foren um Geocaching und Geocoins wäre es sinnvoll, wenn man mehr den „Frieden“ bzw. die Verantwortung des Einzelnen friedlich miteinander umzugehen, berücksichtigen würde.

Nach vielen Zeichenversuchen entstanden nach und nach Skizzen, mit denen ich mich an das Projekt wagte.

Christopher Waddell half mir, meine Ideen, die ich zunächst nur aufgezeichnet hatte, grafisch zu verfeinern und in Artworks umzusetzen und so mein Projekt „Peace Turtle Geocoin“ zu realisieren.

Die Peace Turtle trägt als Botschaft auf der Vorderseite ein großes und drei kleine Peace-Zeichen, ein weiteres Peacezeichen befindet sich in der Mitte des Rückens. Zwei Delphine begleiten das rückseitige Peacezeichen. Der Delphin ist ein Symbol der Kraft, Energie, Lebensfreude, Schwung und Hoffnung. In verschiedenen Sprachen ist auf den Flossenrückseiten das Wort „Frieden“ dargestellt. Einen Delphin im Meer sehen, gar mit ihm tauchen zu können, ist eines der schönsten Lebensmomente.

Fünf farbige Sterne weisen auf die besondere Bedeutung der Zahl 5 in Kultur und Wissenschaft hin: 5 ist die Zahl des Menschen, der mit ausgestreckten Armen und Beinen ein 5-eck bildet. Der Taoismus kennt 5 Elemente: Wasser, Feuer, Erde, Holz und Metall, es gibt 5 Kontinente, 5 Finger an jeder Hand.... Peace Turtle wird von fünf kleine Glitzersteinen verziert.
Die Meeresschildkröten werde nachts am Strand von Mond und Sternen bei der Eiablage behütet. Deshalb habe ich für das 2. Level der Rückseite Monde und Sterne gewählt.

Peace Turtle Geocoin

After „Leopardendrücker Geocoin“ it was sure that I wanted to have a "Personal Coin" .
Because I’m a "Turtle-lover“ I also knew what shape would be this coin. The turtle is a big idol of retiring in itself, an idol of patience and perseverance. Not for nothing the turtle is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth.

With the flood of many Turtlecoins that should not be an easy task, because many more or less successful Turtlecoins already excisted. My Coin should also carry a message and not just be a "nice coin" . The quote by Ghandi "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way " touched me especially because the theme of "peace" is with me in many areas. In my profession, in my commitment for UNICEF, because here is especially good to see that there would be more healthy and happy children, if there would be more peace on earth. Also in the Forums Geocaching and Geocoins it would be useful if you peacefully deal more "peace" or of the individual's responsibility to each other.

After many tests were used to mark gradually sketches with which I ventured to the project, Christopher Waddell helped me, to realize my ideas that I had initially only recorded graphically and made the artworks for my "Peace Turtle Geocoin".

The Peace Turtle carries on the front one large and three small peace signs as a message. Another peace sign can be found in the middle of the backside. Two dolphins are beside the peace-sign on the back. The dolphin is a power-animal and its' meaning is: power, energy, creativity, joy of life and hope. In different languages is shown on the fins backs the word "peace. To meet a dolphin in real life, perhaps even to be able to dive with him, is one of the greatest moments.
Five colored stars indicate the importance of the number 5 in culture and science: 5 is the number of human being who forms a pentagon with outstretched arms and legs. Taoism knows 5 elements: water, fire, earth, wood and metal, there are 5 continents, 5 fingers on each hand .... Peace Turtle is also decorated by 5 small rhinestones. The turtles are sheltered at night by moon and stars when they are laying eggs on the beach. That's why I have chosen for little moons and stars on the 2nd level of the backside.

The coin is provided with a small loop, so that it can be worn as a pendant.

Peace Turtle Geocoin

"Nach meiner Idee für die Leopardendrücker Geocoin war klar, dass ich unbedingt eine „Personal Coin“ haben wollte.

Als „Turtle“ Liebhaberin wusste ich auch, welche Form diese Coin haben sollte. Ist doch die Schildkröte in ihrer Geduld, Beharrlichkeit und ihrer Fähigkeit sich in sich zurück zuziehen, ein wahres Vorbild. Nicht umsonst ist sie das älteste Symbol der Mutter Erde. Bei der Flut der vielen Schildkrötencoins, sollte das kein leichtes Unterfangen werden, denn viele mehr oder minder gelungene Turtlecoins gab es ja bereits. Als Taucherin und Meersliebhaberin war klar, dass ich mich für eine Meeresschildkröte entscheiden würde.

Meine Coin sollte auch eine Botschaft tragen und nicht nur eine „schöne Coin“ sein.
Das Zitat von Ghandi „There is no way to peace. Peace ist the way.“ hat mich besonders bewegt, denn das Thema „Frieden“ begleitet mich in vielen Bereichen: in meinem Beruf, in meinem Engagement für UNICEF, denn hier ist besonders gut zu sehen, dass es mehr gesunde und glückliche Kinder gäbe, wenn es mehr Frieden auf unserer Erde gäbe. Auch in den Foren um Geocaching und Geocoins wäre es sinnvoll, wenn man mehr den „Frieden“ bzw. die Verantwortung des Einzelnen friedlich miteinander umzugehen, berücksichtigen würde.

Nach vielen Zeichenversuchen entstanden nach und nach Skizzen, mit denen ich mich an das Projekt wagte.

Christopher Waddell half mir, meine Ideen, die ich zunächst nur aufgezeichnet hatte, grafisch zu verfeinern und in Artworks umzusetzen und so mein Projekt „Peace Turtle Geocoin“ zu realisieren.

Die Peace Turtle trägt als Botschaft auf der Vorderseite ein großes und drei kleine Peace-Zeichen, ein weiteres Peacezeichen befindet sich in der Mitte des Rückens. Zwei Delphine begleiten das rückseitige Peacezeichen. Der Delphin ist ein Symbol der Kraft, Energie, Lebensfreude, Schwung und Hoffnung. In verschiedenen Sprachen ist auf den Flossenrückseiten das Wort „Frieden“ dargestellt. Einen Delphin im Meer sehen, gar mit ihm tauchen zu können, ist eines der schönsten Lebensmomente.

Fünf farbige Sterne weisen auf die besondere Bedeutung der Zahl 5 in Kultur und Wissenschaft hin: 5 ist die Zahl des Menschen, der mit ausgestreckten Armen und Beinen ein 5-eck bildet. Der Taoismus kennt 5 Elemente: Wasser, Feuer, Erde, Holz und Metall, es gibt 5 Kontinente, 5 Finger an jeder Hand.... Peace Turtle wird von fünf kleine Glitzersteinen verziert.
Die Meeresschildkröten werde nachts am Strand von Mond und Sternen bei der Eiablage behütet. Deshalb habe ich für das 2. Level der Rückseite Monde und Sterne gewählt.

Zu den Namen:

Peace Turtle Geocoin

After „Leopardendrücker Geocoin“ it was sure that I wanted to have a "Personal Coin" .
Because I’m a "Turtle-lover“ I also knew what shape would be this coin. The turtle is a big idol of retiring in itself, an idol of patience and perseverance. Not for nothing the turtle is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth.

With the flood of many Turtlecoins that should not be an easy task, because many more or less successful Turtlecoins already excisted. My Coin should also carry a message and not just be a "nice coin" . The quote by Ghandi "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way " touched me especially because the theme of "peace" is with me in many areas. In my profession, in my commitment for UNICEF, because here is especially good to see that there would be more healthy and happy children, if there would be more peace on earth. Also in the Forums Geocaching and Geocoins it would be useful if you peacefully deal more "peace" or of the individual's responsibility to each other.

After many tests were used to mark gradually sketches with which I ventured to the project, Christopher Waddell helped me, to realize my ideas that I had initially only recorded graphically and made the artworks for my "Peace Turtle Geocoin".

The Peace Turtle carries on the front one large and three small peace signs as a message. Another peace sign can be found in the middle of the backside. Two dolphins are beside the peace-sign on the back. The dolphin is a power-animal and its' meaning is: power, energy, creativity, joy of life and hope. In different languages is shown on the fins backs the word "peace. To meet a dolphin in real life, perhaps even to be able to dive with him, is one of the greatest moments.
Five colored stars indicate the importance of the number 5 in culture and science: 5 is the number of human being who forms a pentagon with outstretched arms and legs. Taoism knows 5 elements: water, fire, earth, wood and metal, there are 5 continents, 5 fingers on each hand .... Peace Turtle is also decorated by 5 small rhinestones. The turtles are sheltered at night by moon and stars when they are laying eggs on the beach. That's why I have chosen for little moons and stars on the 2nd level of the backside.

The coin is provided with a small loop, so that it can be worn as a pendant.

Peace Turtle Geocoin

"Nach meiner Idee für die Leopardendrücker Geocoin war klar, dass ich unbedingt eine „Personal Coin“ haben wollte.

Als „Turtle“ Liebhaberin wusste ich auch, welche Form diese Coin haben sollte. Ist doch die Schildkröte in ihrer Geduld, Beharrlichkeit und ihrer Fähigkeit sich in sich zurück zuziehen, ein wahres Vorbild. Nicht umsonst ist sie das älteste Symbol der Mutter Erde. Bei der Flut der vielen Schildkrötencoins, sollte das kein leichtes Unterfangen werden, denn viele mehr oder minder gelungene Turtlecoins gab es ja bereits. Als Taucherin und Meersliebhaberin war klar, dass ich mich für eine Meeresschildkröte entscheiden würde.

Meine Coin sollte auch eine Botschaft tragen und nicht nur eine „schöne Coin“ sein.
Das Zitat von Ghandi „There is no way to peace. Peace ist the way.“ hat mich besonders bewegt, denn das Thema „Frieden“ begleitet mich in vielen Bereichen: in meinem Beruf, in meinem Engagement für UNICEF, denn hier ist besonders gut zu sehen, dass es mehr gesunde und glückliche Kinder gäbe, wenn es mehr Frieden auf unserer Erde gäbe. Auch in den Foren um Geocaching und Geocoins wäre es sinnvoll, wenn man mehr den „Frieden“ bzw. die Verantwortung des Einzelnen friedlich miteinander umzugehen, berücksichtigen würde.

Nach vielen Zeichenversuchen entstanden nach und nach Skizzen, mit denen ich mich an das Projekt wagte.

Christopher Waddell half mir, meine Ideen, die ich zunächst nur aufgezeichnet hatte, grafisch zu verfeinern und in Artworks umzusetzen und so mein Projekt „Peace Turtle Geocoin“ zu realisieren.

Die Peace Turtle trägt als Botschaft auf der Vorderseite ein großes und drei kleine Peace-Zeichen, ein weiteres Peacezeichen befindet sich in der Mitte des Rückens. Zwei Delphine begleiten das rückseitige Peacezeichen. Der Delphin ist ein Symbol der Kraft, Energie, Lebensfreude, Schwung und Hoffnung. In verschiedenen Sprachen ist auf den Flossenrückseiten das Wort „Frieden“ dargestellt. Einen Delphin im Meer sehen, gar mit ihm tauchen zu können, ist eines der schönsten Lebensmomente.

Fünf farbige Sterne weisen auf die besondere Bedeutung der Zahl 5 in Kultur und Wissenschaft hin: 5 ist die Zahl des Menschen, der mit ausgestreckten Armen und Beinen ein 5-eck bildet. Der Taoismus kennt 5 Elemente: Wasser, Feuer, Erde, Holz und Metall, es gibt 5 Kontinente, 5 Finger an jeder Hand.... Peace Turtle wird von fünf kleine Glitzersteinen verziert.
Die Meeresschildkröten werde nachts am Strand von Mond und Sternen bei der Eiablage behütet. Deshalb habe ich für das 2. Level der Rückseite Monde und Sterne gewählt.

Zu den Namen:

Peace Turtle Geocoin

After „Leopardendrücker Geocoin“ it was sure that I wanted to have a "Personal Coin" .
Because I’m a "Turtle-lover“ I also knew what shape would be this coin. The turtle is a big idol of retiring in itself, an idol of patience and perseverance. Not for nothing the turtle is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth.

With the flood of many Turtlecoins that should not be an easy task, because many more or less successful Turtlecoins already excisted. My Coin should also carry a message and not just be a "nice coin" . The quote by Ghandi "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way " touched me especially because the theme of "peace" is with me in many areas. In my profession, in my commitment for UNICEF, because here is especially good to see that there would be more healthy and happy children, if there would be more peace on earth. Also in the Forums Geocaching and Geocoins it would be useful if you peacefully deal more "peace" or of the individual's responsibility to each other.

After many tests were used to mark gradually sketches with which I ventured to the project, Christopher Waddell helped me, to realize my ideas that I had initially only recorded graphically and made the artworks for my "Peace Turtle Geocoin".

The Peace Turtle carries on the front one large and three small peace signs as a message. Another peace sign can be found in the middle of the backside. Two dolphins are beside the peace-sign on the back. The dolphin is a power-animal and its' meaning is: power, energy, creativity, joy of life and hope. In different languages is shown on the fins backs the word "peace. To meet a dolphin in real life, perhaps even to be able to dive with him, is one of the greatest moments.
Five colored stars indicate the importance of the number 5 in culture and science: 5 is the number of human being who forms a pentagon with outstretched arms and legs. Taoism knows 5 elements: water, fire, earth, wood and metal, there are 5 continents, 5 fingers on each hand .... Peace Turtle is also decorated by 5 small rhinestones. The turtles are sheltered at night by moon and stars when they are laying eggs on the beach. That's why I have chosen for little moons and stars on the 2nd level of the backside.

The coin is provided with a small loop, so that it can be worn as a pendant.

Peace Turtle Geocoin

After „Leopardendrücker Geocoin“ it was sure that I wanted to have a "Personal Coin" .
Because I’m a "Turtle-lover“ I also knew what shape would be this coin. The turtle is a big idol of retiring in itself, an idol of patience and perseverance. Not for nothing the turtle is the oldest symbol of Mother Earth.

With the flood of many Turtlecoins that should not be an easy task, because many more or less successful Turtlecoins already excisted. My Coin should also carry a message and not just be a "nice coin" . The quote by Ghandi "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way " touched me especially because the theme of "peace" is with me in many areas. In my profession, in my commitment for UNICEF, because here is especially good to see that there would be more healthy and happy children, if there would be more peace on earth. Also in the Forums Geocaching and Geocoins it would be useful if you peacefully deal more "peace" or of the individual's responsibility to each other.

After many tests were used to mark gradually sketches with which I ventured to the project, Christopher Waddell helped me, to realize my ideas that I had initially only recorded graphically and made the artworks for my "Peace Turtle Geocoin".

The Peace Turtle carries on the front one large and three small peace signs as a message. Another peace sign can be found in the middle of the backside. Two dolphins are beside the peace-sign on the back. The dolphin is a power-animal and its' meaning is: power, energy, creativity, joy of life and hope. In different languages is shown on the fins backs the word "peace. To meet a dolphin in real life, perhaps even to be able to dive with him, is one of the greatest moments.
Five colored stars indicate the importance of the number 5 in culture and science: 5 is the number of human being who forms a pentagon with outstretched arms and legs. Taoism knows 5 elements: water, fire, earth, wood and metal, there are 5 continents, 5 fingers on each hand .... Peace Turtle is also decorated by 5 small rhinestones. The turtles are sheltered at night by moon and stars when they are laying eggs on the beach. That's why I have chosen for little moons and stars on the 2nd level of the backside.

The coin is provided with a small loop, so that it can be worn as a pendant.
