Earth - the one and only known planet in our solar system to support life. Earth is the third planet from the Sun, and is the only planet in our solar system not named after a Greek or Roman deity. The word "Earth" is of both English and German origin, 'eor(th)e/ertha' and 'erde', which translates to "ground."

From our frigid tundras, lush green rainforests, colossal mountain ranges, arid deserts and everything inbetween, earth holds over 7 billion people on 7 different continents, surrounded by 5 extensive oceans. Earth is home to even more species of plants and animals, many of which are endangered and on the verge of extinction.

Pollution, poaching, and destruction of habitat are just a few of the reasons a myriad of plants and animals are being added to the Endangered Species list every year, and it is our duty to do what we can to save the planet and all life that inhabits it.

You can show your support for the Earth and the life it hold with this new Endangered Earth Geocoin, featuring the sadly extinct Tyrannosaurus Rex, Wooly Mammoth, Sabre-tooth Tiger and Thylacine on the front of the coin, and the endangered African Elephant, Silverback Gorilla, Siberian Tiger and Polar Bear on the back. On the front, three hands are placed around a small Earth, showing support to keep our beautiful planet healed.
