Die Grundidee und -design der "Estonia Christmas Card Geocoin" stammen vom JP Barr ([[JP's Geodesigns]]). Am 13. Oktober 
2014 stellte JP Barr die Final Artwork für die Geocoin zum ersten Mal der Öffentlichheit vor und kündigte drei Versionen 
dieser Geocoin an. 
 
Die Idee zu dieser Geocoin entstand als JP Barr einige seiner Kindheitserinnerungen in einer Geocoin umsetzen wollte. 
Während der Weihnachtszeit wurden früher traditionellerweise Weihnachtskarten geschrieben. Seine Großmutter 
erhielt während dieser Zeit immer viele Weihnachtskarten, die sie Zuhause aufstellte. Viele der Weihnachtskarten zeigten 
viktorianische Motive, die ihm in Erinnerung geblieben sind. Eine weitere Kindheitserinnerung ist das Schreiben 
einer Wunschliste für den Weihnachtsmann, welche im Briefkasten sein musste, bevor der Postbote den Briefkasten leerte. 
Diese beiden Kindheitserinnerungen bilden die Grundlage für die Estonia Christmas Card Geocoin. 
 
Die Estonia Christmas Card Geocoin wurde in Form einer Weihnachtskarte im viktorianischen Style gestaltet. Der Umriss 
der Geocoin ist nicht rund, sondern rechteckig. Die Vorderseite der Geocoin zeigt ein kleines Mädchen, das im Begriff 
ist, eine Weihnachtskarte einzuwerfen. Im Hintergrund sind ein singendes Paar sowie durchs Fenster ein geschmückter 
Weihnachtsbaum zu erkennen. Das Bild wird auf der linken Seite von zwei Weihnachtsglocken eingerahmt. 
Die Rückseite der Geocoin zeigt ein Bildnis vom Weihnachtsmann und den Schriftzug "May the Christmas season fill your 
home with joy, your heart with love and your life with laughter". In der oberen rechten Ecke der Geocoin klebt eine 
Briefmarke im Wert von 25 pence und mit dem Stempelaufdruck "NORTH POLE - DEC 24 - HAPPY HOLIDAYS". 
Die Seitenprägung der Geocoin trägt die Aufschrift "Track at Geocaching.com" sowie den Geocoin Code.

The idea and the design of the "Estonia Christmas Card Geocoin" has been made by JP Barr ([[JP's Geodesigns]]). On the 13th 
October 2014 a first preveal on the geocoin was made, by publishing the first final artwork for this geocoin. It was also 
announcent by this time, that there will be a total of three editions.
 
JP Bar wrote on his facebook site: "I wanted to bring something from my childhood and hopefully yours as well. Christmas in 
England ment Christmas cards and my Grandmother always had hers hanging around the house, most of them being traditional 
Victorian scenes. Another tradition that I grew up with was writing a letter to Father Christmas and getting it to the postbox 
before the postman came. This was the idea behind this coin a traditional Christmas card with many memories attached." 
 
The Estonia Christmas Card geocoin was designed in shape of a christmas card and shows on the front side a Victorian scene. 
The geocoin is not round but square shaped. It shows a little girl, who is just about to post a letter. The background shows 
a singing couple including a window with a decorated christmas tree. 
The backside of the geocoin shown Santa, the words "May the Christmas season fill your home with joy, your heart with love 
and your life with laughter" and a 25 pence stamp including the words "NORTH POLE - DEC 24 - HAPPY HOLIDAYS". Additionally you can find the words "Track at Geoccaching.com" and the geocoin code on the coinside of this geocoin.
