Zum dreizehnten Mal in Folge fand am 31. Oktober 2015 das FAD MEGA Event in Schweden statt. Austragungsort des FAD 2015 
MEGA Events war die Stadt Örebro, Örebro Lån, Schweden. Die Idee zu diesem Event stammt von dem Geocacher "Hedberg" 
und wurde innerhalb von wenigen Jahren zu Schwedens größtem MEGA-Event. Beim FAD MEGA Event dreht sich alles ums 
Geocachen in der Dunkelheit. Dies ist auch der Grund, warum das FAD MEGA Event jedes Jahr in der dunklen Jahreszeit 
stattfindet. Nach Sonnenuntergang, gegen 17-18 Uhr, werden die Geocaches rund um das MEGA Event veröffentlicht und die 
Teilnehmer in die Nacht entlassen. Bis 22 Uhr haben sie dann Zeit, die Geocaches rund um das MEGA Event zu suchen. 
Anschließend wird ein Teil der Geocaches wieder eingesammelt, während der andere Teil dauerhaft liegen bleibt. Dieses 
Jahr wurden ebenfalls 10 Labcaches für das Event platziert, welche die Teilnehmer des Events auf eine Rundtour 
entlang Örebro's bekanntesten Sehenswürdigkeiten führte. 
 
Johan Granquist aka spjo (Mit-Organisator des MEGA Sweden FAD 2015) ist der Designer der Mega Sweden FAD 2015 
Geocoin. Dies war seine erste Geocoin und er entwarf eine extra große viereckige Geocoin welches durch seine detailreiche 
3D Prägung (in fünf Ebenen) besticht. Das Logo der FAD MEGA 2015 Event (welches ebenfalls aus seiner Hand stammt) diente 
als Vorlage für die Vorderseite der Geocoin. Vergleicht man das Logo mit der Vorderseite, so ist eine Übereinstimmung 
beider nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Im Hintergrund der Geocoin ist die Skyline der Stadt Örebro (Austragungsort des 
MEGA events) zu erkennen. Die Rückseite der Geocoin zeigt einen Relief des Örebro Schlosses, welches zu den bekanntesten 
Sehenswürdigkeiten des Bundeslandes Örebro Lån gehört. Der Text “Trackable at Geocaching.com” ist auf der Seite der 
Geocoin zu finden.

FAD 2015 was held October 31 in Örebro and is the 13th FAD since. The first FAD event was held in 2003 and since then it 
has continued and grown larger each year. The first 10 years FAD were held in western Sweden, but in 2013 it was Södertälje´s 
turn. In 2014 Hässleholm took the baton and now in 2015 it was the city of Örebro that hosted the event. More than 1100 
people from all over the world participated in the FAD MEGA event 2015. 
 
FAD is an event where geocachers meet, participates in interesting lectures and activities and meet suppliers at the mini 
exhibition. The main focus of the event is a few hours of intense geocaching in the dark Swedish night. Shortly after the 
sun goes down the coordinates to a large number of caches are released. Some are traditionally logable on www.geocaching.com 
after the event, but there are also a large number of temporarily caches that are only available during the evening. This 
years there were also ten LABS-caches that took the participants on a tour among Örebro City´s famous landmarks. 
 
Johan Granquist aka spjo (one of the organizers of Mega Sweden FAD 2015) was the designer of the Mega Sweden FAD 2015 
geocoin. It is his first made geocoin and he decided to make a large rectangular geocoin, including a “3D-surface” in five different 
levels. The logo for the FAD MEGA 2015 event was also designed by him, so he decided to incorporated a similar logo into the 
front side of the coin. Comparing the front side of the geocoin with the event logo a similarity is impossible to deny. 
The skyline shown on the front is the skyline of the city Örebro where the event was held. The backside of the geocoin futures 
a 3D imprint of the Örebro Castle, which is a very famous landmark of Örebro lån. The text “Trackable at Geocaching.com” is 
hidden on the edge of the coin.
