Während der Planetary Pursuit Challenge von Groundspeak waren Geocacher von der ganzen Welt aufgerufen, um die Erde zu verlassen und sich auf die Jagd nach den Planeten unseren Sonnensystems zu machen. Zwischen den 19. März und den 15. April konnten hierbei alle Geocacher Punkte sammeln und bis zu zehn Souvenirs einsammeln, um ein offizieller Space Explorer zu werden. 
 
Während der Planetary Pursuit Challenge wurden zwei neue Trackable Sets von [[Shop Geocaching]] veröffentlicht. Dies ist zum einen das Planetary Pursuit Trackable Set und zum anderen das Solar System Trackable Set. Eine vollständige Übersicht ist in der unten aufgeführte Liste zu sehen. Im nachfolgenden Teil wird näher auf das Planetary Pursuit Trackable Set eingegangen, welches aus vier verschiedenen Trackables besteht. Zur Erinnerung an der Planetary Pursuit Challenge wurden eine Geocoin, eine Micro-Geocoin, einen Tag sowie einen Nano Charm entworfen und veräußert. Das Design wird hauptsächlich durch einen Astronauten mit Ammo Box sowie den verschiedenen Planeten unseren Sonnensystems bestimmt.

''Bist Du bereits für deine Planetary Pursuit (Planeten Jagd)? Geocaching ist nicht mehr nur von dieser Welt und wir feiern dies mit einer neuen Collection von Planeten Coins. Der zweite Planet von der Sonne aus gesehen wird auch als Zwilling der Erde bezeichnet. Es handelt sich hierbei um den Planeten Venus. Leider hat die Venus, im Gegensatz zu den 3 Millionen Geocaches auf der Erde, keinen einzigen Geocache. Somit haben wir keinen wirklichen Grund hier länger zu verweilen. Die Coin zeigt den Planeten Venus und ist ca. 35 mm in Durchmesser. Sie zeigt auf der Vorderseite ein Abbild des Planeten Venus und auf der Rückseite das Astronomisches Symbol für den Planeten Venus.''

During the Planetary Pursuit Challenge by Groundspeak geocacher all around the world were invited to leave mother earth on a journey to every planet in our solar system. Between March the 19th and April the 15th geocachers were able to collect points to earn up to 10 new souvenirs and to become an official space explorer. 
 
Two new trackable sets were released by [[Shop Geocaching]] during the Planetary Pursuit Challenge. Next to the Planetary Pursuit Trackable Set the Solar System Trackable Set was released. A detailed overview of all the trackables is shown in the Planetary Pursuit Challenge list below. The following text features the trackables from the Planetary Pursuit Trackable Set, which exist out of four trackables. In memoriam of the Planetary Pursuit Challenge one geocoin, one microcoin, one tag and one nano charm were released. The design of the trackables exist mainly out of a astronaut holding an ammo box including the different planets of our solar system.
