Sir John Alexander MacDonald war der erste Premierminister von Kanada.
Bekannt war er nicht nur durch seine politischen Erfolge und seinen Witz, sondern auch durch seine spontanen, alkoholgeschwängerten Einlagen bei offiziellen Veranstaltungen. So hat er z.B. während einer Wahlkampfdebatte seinem redenden Gesprächsgegner die Show gestohlen als er seinen Mageninhalt auf dem Rednerpult entlud. Angeblich sagte er daraufhin: "Seht her, wie die Ideen meines Gegenspielers mich anwidern".
Mit dieser Geocoin wird seinem 200. Geburtstag in augenzwinkernder Weise gedacht.
