Zum sechzehnten Mal in Folge findet am 3. November 2018 das FAD MEGA Event in Schweden statt. Austragungsort des FAD 2018
MEGA Events ist Sundsvall, im Bundesland Västernorrland Län, Schweden. Die Idee zu diesem Event stammt vom Geocacher
"Hedberg" und wurde innerhalb von wenigen Jahren zu Schwedens größtem MEGA-Event. Beim FAD MEGA Event dreht sich alles
ums Geocachen in der Dunkelheit. Dies ist auch der Grund, warum das FAD MEGA Event jedes Jahr in der dunklen Jahreszeit
stattfindet. Nach Sonnenuntergang, gegen 17 Uhr, werden die Geocaches rund um das MEGA Event veröffentlicht und die Teilnehmer
kurze Zeit später in die Nacht entlassen. Bis 22 Uhr haben sie dann Zeit, die Geocaches zu suchen. Anschließend wird ein
Teil der Geocaches wieder eingesammelt, während der andere Teil dauerhaft liegen bleibt.
Die Mega Sweden FAD 2018 Geocoin zeigt auf der Vorderseite ein Fabelwesen (Skvader) in Mitte des Schwedischen Waldes mit dem
Schriftzug "SUNDSVALL 3 NOV". Die Rückseite zeigt das Logo vom 16. FAD MEGA Event, die Skyline der Stadt Sundsvall sowie den
Titel des diesjährigen "Mega Sweden FAD 2018" Events.

On the third of November 2018 the 16.th FAD MEGA event will be hold in Sundsvall, which lies in the state Västernorrland län, Sweden.
The idea for the first FAD Event came from a geocacher named "Hedberg" who is in a manner of speaking the "father" of this event.
Over the years FAD has become a MEGA event and the largest event in Sweden. The main focus is on night caching. For this reason
the MEGA Event is held usually during the late autumn. After sunset, around 5 pm, several FAD MEGA event geocaches are
released and the participants of the FAD start with the stash hunt. Barely equipped with a torch light and a pen they go out in
the cold darkness to search for the released geocaches. The hunt stops around 10 pm and the participants gather together, to
socialize and to end the FAD MEGA event. Afterwards a part of the geocaches will be taken down while the other part of the
geocaches remains.
The Mega Sweden FAD 2018 Geocoin shows on the front a mythical creature (Skvader) in the Swedish forest including the lettering
"SUNDSVALL 3 NOV". The backside of the coin shows the skyline of the city Sundsvall including the lettering "Mega Sweden FAD 2018".
