Seit einigen Jahren gibt es in den Niederlanden jährlich ein Designwettbewerb zur Gestaltung der Dutch Geocoin. Jeder ist aufgerufen eine oder mehrere Geocoin Designs einzureichen, von denen am Ende ein Entwurf ausgewählt und produziert wird.
Auch im Jahr 2019 gab es viele Entwürfe, wobei der Designentwurf von Geo-Dragonchild sich gegenüber den anderen eingereichten Entwürfen durchgesetzt hat.
Der Entwurf für diese Coin ist eine Hommage an das 15 jährige Jubiläum der Dutch Geocoin. Die Vorderseite zeigt einen Ausschnitt des königlichen Wappens der Niederlande mit der Gösch (Bugflagge) der Niederländischen Marine im Hintergrund. Umrahmt wird das Bild mit dem Schriftzug "DUTCH GEOCOIN 2019" sowie dem Leitspruch "JE MAINTIENDRAI" (Ich werde erhalten). Die Rückseite der Coin wurde in 15 Teilabschnitte unterteilt und sie zeigt im jedem Segment ein Teilmotiv der bisher veröffentlichen Dutch Geocoins. Umrahmt wird die Coin von dem Schriftzug "15 JAAR DUTCH GEOCOINS" und dem Discover Code.BR>

Since several years there is an annual design competition for the configuration of the new annual Dutch Geocoin. Everyone can submit one or more drafts of which one will be chosen and minted.
Several design were submitted in 2019. In the end the design of Geo-Dragonchild was chosen.
The design for the Dutch Geocoin 2019 commemorates the 15 year anniversary of the Dutch Geocoin. The obverse side of the coin shows a cutout from the coat of arms of the Netherlands including the Dutch navel jack in the background. The picture is surrounded by the lettering "DUTCH GEOCOIN 2019" and "JE MAINTIENDRAI" (I shall maintain). The reverse side of the coin shows a cut-out of each of the 15 minted Dutch Geocoins. The tessellation is surrounded by the lettering „15 JAAR DUTCH GEOCOINS“ and the trackable code.
