Eine von Christopher Rake alias Crake entworfene Erinnerungs-Geocoin zum Gedenken an die erste Geocoin im Weltall.
Am 7. Februar 2008 befand sich an Bord des Space Shuttle STS-122 die von Crake entworfene Geocoin Astrolabe Geocoin.

Wie bei allen Geocoins von Crake lässt die Qualtität und Detailreichtum nichts zu wünschen übrig. Auf der Vorderseite
ist die 3D Prägung eines startenden Space Shuttles abgebildet. Die Rückseite der Geocoin ist der Astrolabe Geocoin
nachempfunden und wird eingerahmt von den Satz: "Astrolabe - First Geocoin in Orbit - Feb 7, 2008 - 202 Orbits -
5,296,842 Miles traveled" ("Astrolabe - erste Geocoin im Orbit - 7. Februar 2008 - 202 Umläufe - 5.296.843 Meilen
(8.524.442,5 Kilometer) gereist").

Kurz nach Bekanntgabe, dass Nate Grumby seine Astrolabe Geocoin mit ins All genommen hatte, wurde die
"First Geocoin in Orbit" von Crake entworfen und produziert.

A commemorative geocoin designed by Christopher Rake aka Crake honoring the first geocoin in space. It was a Crake
designed geocoin Astrolabe Geocoin aboard the Space Shuttle STS-122 on February 7 2008. Info on the actual coin that

As with all Crake coins the detail is nothing short of amazing. The coins have a 3D picture of the Space Shuttle taking off
on the front and the Original Astrolabe design on the back framed by the sentence: "Astrolabe - First Geocoin in Orbit -
Feb 7, 2008 - 202 Orbits - 5,296,842 Miles traveled".

The 'First Geocoin in Orbit' was designed shortly after the announcement to recognize the accomplishment of Nate Grumby
getting his Astrolabe into space.
