EarthTrek war ein Forschungsprogramm, das Wissenschaftler während der Durchführung realer wissenschaftlicher Forschung
mit der breiten Bevölkerung durch deren aktive Teilnahme bei der Sammlung echter wissenschaftlicher Daten verbindete.
Das Programm wurde am 30. September 2011 eingestellt. Symbol des EarthTrek Programms war eine grüne Hand.
Diese wurde 2010 auch als Geocoin rausgebracht.
