Die Erde: Der einzige bekannte Planeten in unserem Sonnensystem, welches Leben ermöglicht. In unseren Sonensystem ist sie die dritte Planet nach der Sonne und die einzige, welches nicht nach einem griechischen oder römischen Gott benannt wurde. Das Wort "Earth" entstammt sowohl aus der englische (eor(th)e/ertha), als auch aus der deutsche Sprache (Erde) und bedeutet "Boden".

Von den kalten Tundren, den saftig grünen Regenwäldern, den riesigen Gebirgen, den trockenen Wüsten und alles da zwischen, beherbergt die Erde 7 Milliarden Menschen auf 7 unterschiedlichen Kontinenten, die von 5 riesige Meere eingeschlossen werden. Die Erde ist Heimat von noch viel mehr Pflanzen- und Tierarten, wovon viele bedroht oder sich am Rande des Aussterbens befinden.

Umweltverschmutzung, Wilderei, aber auch die Zerstörung von Lebensräume sind nur ein paar Gründe wieso immer mehr Pflanzen und Tieren jedes Jahr auf die Liste der Bedrohten Arten landen, und es ist unser Aufgabe die Erde und allem Leben darauf zu erhalten.

Earth - the one and only known planet in our solar system to support life. Earth is the third planet from the Sun, and is the only planet in our solar system not named after a Greek or Roman deity. The word "Earth" is of both English and German origin, 'eor(th)e/ertha' and 'erde', which translates to "ground."

From our frigid tundras, lush green rainforests, colossal mountain ranges, arid deserts and everything inbetween, earth holds over 7 billion people on 7 different continents, surrounded by 5 extensive oceans. Earth is home to even more species of plants and animals, many of which are endangered and on the verge of extinction.

Pollution, poaching, and destruction of habitat are just a few of the reasons a myriad of plants and animals are being added to the Endangered Species list every year, and it is our duty to do what we can to save the planet and all life that inhabits it.
