Chris Mackey alias fox-and-the-hound hat die Hauptevent-Geocoin des GeoCoinFestes 2015 "The Sky’s The Limit!" in Omaha, Nebraska, USA GC58MDJ entworfen.
Bisher gibt es fünf Editionen (wobei ggf. eine sechte, die "Helper-Edition" hinzu kommen könnte), die es beim Vorverkauf der Eintrittskarten (außer der Orga-Coin) zu erwerben gab.

Im Wesentlichen besteht sie aus einer Basis-Geocoin, in die man wahlweise eine der magnetischen two-tone Flugzeug-Geocoins einfügen kann.
Zu beachten ist, dass nur die Basis-Geocoin seitlich (Seitenprägung) trackbar ist, jedoch die Flugzeuge nicht.

Die Vorderseite der Basis-Coin zeigt das Motto "The Sky's The Limit" (Der Himmel ist die Grenze) des Geocoinfestes 2015 mit einem versteckten Höhenmesser im Hintergrund.

Die Rückseite der Basis-Geocoin ist eine Würdigung der geleisteten Arbeit des Strategic Air & Space Museum.

"Das SAC Logo, ein gepanzerter Handschuh, welcher die Macht des Himmels bändigt, ist an sich schon ein gewagtes Bild.
There wouldn't be any randomness in the selection of tributes on this side either. The divisions of labor and ingenuity in the SAC are very specific.
Their very motto would frame the highlighted craft within. The flight vehicles on display would be picked to represent ingenuity in creative design, dog fighting combat, long range flight, support vehicles and space exploration.
Jedes dieser abgebildeten Flugzeuge ist ein Paradebeispiel des Erfindungsreichtums der Männer und Frauen, die um die Ecke dachten, ausserhalb jeglichen Rahmen,
und durch ihre harte Arbeit die Historie maßgeblich veränderten. Im Nachhinein hätte diese Seite der Geocoin auch die Vorderseite sein können."

Je nach Edition sind bis zu vier Flugzeuge mit bei der Basis-Geocoin enthalten. Die B-17G Flying Fortress und F-86H Sabre gibt es in jeder Edition,
wohingegen die Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird und der Whirlwind nur in den limitierten Editionen vorhanden sind.

Ein kleiner Fehler ist bei der Whirlwind Münze vorhanden. Tatsächlich ist Whirlwind eine Weiterentwicklung der Sikorsky S-55 oder H-19 Chickasaw,
welcher bei der British Army und Royal Air Force geflogen ist. Die US-Streitkräfte haben die Sikorsky S-55 bzw. H-19 Chickasaw geflogen.
Somit dürfte die Coin eigentlich H-19 Chickasaw heißen.

The design for the main event geocoin of the GeoCoinFest 2015 "The Sky’s The Limit!" in Omaha, Nebraska, USA GC58MDJ was designed by Chris Mackey aka fox-and-the-hound.
Presently there are five editions (according unconfirmed rumors there may be a six "helper edition" planned for the near future), which could be purchased with the entree fee (except for the committee coin).

Basically the coin excist out of on base coin in which one of the two-tone magnetic plane coins.
Only the base coin is trackable with a lateral code engraving.

The front of the base coin shows the moto "The Sky's The Limit" of the GeoCoinFest 2015 and a hidden altimeter in the background.

The reverse side of the base coin is a tribute to the amazing work of the Strategic Air & Space Museum.

Depending on the edition up to 4 planes are include with the main base coin. The B-17G Flying Fortress and the F-86H is included in every editions, whereas the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird and the Whirlwind are restricted to the limited editions.

A small error can be found on the Whirlwind coin. Actually the Whirlwind is an enhancement of the Sikorsky S-55 or H-19 Chickasaw, which was used in the British Army and Royal Air Force.
The US-forces used (flew) only the Sikorsky S-55 and H-19 Chickasaw. Thus the coin shows most likely a H-19 Chickasaw.
