Die Grundidee und -design für die Spartan Geocoin stammt vom medicine wolf und woejam (Geocachingshop.nl).
Die Coin wurde zum ersten mal auf das MEGA Event "Dat is Kowelenz" (GC5VVVV) in Koblenz 22 bis 24.07.2016 herausgegeben.
Die Coin greift Motive aus der spartanischen wie auch der griechischen Epoche auf. Die coin besteht aus einem 45 mm großen
Schild, welches ein Schwert auf der Vorderseite trägt. Die Rückseite der Coin zeigt einen spartanischer Helm, welches
von griechischen Buchstaben und Mustern umgeben ist. Das Schwert ist mit kleinen Magneten auf dem Schild befestigt und
kann nach belieben entfernt oder angebracht werden. Hierbei tragen sowohl das Schild wie auch das Schwert den gleichen
Tracking Code. Die griechische Zitate auf der Coin beziehen sich auf die Streitlust der spartanischen Krieger.
Übersetzt heißt es: "Dies ist SPARTA" und "Heute Abend speisen wir in der Hölle!"

The idea and design for the coin "Spartan Geocoin" was from medicine wolf and woejam and minted by (Geocachingshop.nl).
The coin was released for the first time released during the MEGA Event "Dat is Kowelenz" (GC5VVVV) from 22nd to 24th July 2016
in Koblenz, Germany.
The coin take up a Greek/Spartan designs which shows specific motives of both the Spartan-era as well as the ancient Greek-era.
The coin consists of a 45 mm shield carrying it's sword on the front. The reverse side shows a Spartan helmet which is
surrounded by Greek inscriptions and motives. The shield as well as the sword shows the same tracking code. The sword can be
placed or connected to the shield by the use of small magnets.
The Greek inscriptions on the coin are highly related to the fighting spirit of the Spartan warriors:
Translated it's says: "This is SPARTA" and "Tonight we dine in Hell!"
